What we need from you
The fastest route is a ready-to-print file. Many common replacement parts are already published by their makers or by the community. Send any of these:
- An STL, 3MF, or OBJ file, or CAD exported to one of those formats
- A link to a published model of the part
- If there's no file: clear photos and measurements of the part (and the part it fits), plus what it does. We'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can take on.
Choosing a material
PETG
A good all-round choice for tough everyday parts.
ABS
For parts that see more heat or wear.
TPU
Flexible, for grips, bumpers, and seals that need give.
PLA
Economical, for indoor, low-stress parts.
Tell us where the part is used, such as heat, sunlight, or load, and we'll recommend a material in the quote.
Limits
Printed replacement parts are for non-safety-critical uses. We don't make parts for life-safety, medical, structural, pressure-bearing, vehicle-critical, or other high-liability applications, and we can't certify a printed part's strength for those uses.
Printed parts are not identical to molded originals. Layer lines are normal, and fit can depend on the accuracy of the file or measurements provided.
Frequently asked questions
Can you copy a broken part without a file?
Sometimes. Send photos and measurements through the quote form, and we'll tell you whether it's something we can take on. A published file or CAD model is always the fastest and most accurate route.
What if the part doesn't fit?
Custom parts are printed to the file or measurements you provide, so accurate dimensions matter. If we print something that doesn't match the approved file or order, we'll make it right.
Can you print car or appliance parts?
Cosmetic and convenience parts, like trim clips, covers, and knobs, often work well. We don't print parts where a failure could cause injury or damage, such as brake, fuel, or load-bearing parts.
Which material should I pick?
PETG suits most everyday parts, ABS handles more heat, and TPU is flexible. Tell us how the part is used and we'll recommend one.
